Privacy statement

Second Republic respects the privacy of visitors to our website. If you have any questions about the operation of our website, please email with your query.

Our website collects names, email addresses and other personal information from visitors and subscribers only when submitted via one of our online forms, such as our mailing list or contact form. This data is used solely by Second Republic and is not shared, traded, or sold to third parties.

For some parts of the website, visitors can directly edit the personal information they have provided by logging in and editing their account information. Subscribers to the mailing list can unsubscribe by either clicking the link that appears in every email they receive from the list or by visiting the registration form online.

Our website collects non-personal data through the use of server-based “session variables,” which we use to achieve important site functionality, including the recognition of logged-in users for certain aspects of the website. In some parts of our website, we also use “cookies” (a small file stored by your browser on your hard drive) to automate different processes.

Our web-server records IP addresses from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. From time to time, we use IP addresses to administer our site, for example to block some spammers. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information and their collection is standard procedure in most web-server environments.

Cookies and IP addresses are also used to identify statistical information, such as the number of new and returning visitors to the website. We use Google Analytics to analyze trends and to gather broad demographic information — all for the purpose of improving our website and developing the Second Republic movement.

We used social media tools provided by Facebook, Twitter and Google to help share and promote this website and Second Republic. These tools are used on this website as part of the social media buttons on many pages. These buttons may use cookies, IP address information or other data collection techniques that are not intended by Second Republic and about which Second Republic may not be aware.

Our website contains links to other websites. When you click on one of these links, you are entering another website for which Second Republic is not responsible.

Please note that this statement may be revised periodically without notice. Please re-read this statement prior to submitting any personal information if you have concerns about how your information is being collected and used.
